for Therapists
Individual Consultation / Supervision
Individual consultation and supervision are available for mental health practitioners at different stages of their professional development.
As an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor, I provide primary and secondary supervision for psychologists completing the Clinical Registrar Program, as well as ongoing professional supervision for psychologists and other mental health practitioners.
I also provide individual consultation for clinicians developing their skills in Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-focused clinical practice. Consultation can support case formulation, treatment planning, complex presentations, therapeutic challenges and the thoughtful integration of different therapeutic models.
Individual consultation may also contribute towards relevant EMDR accreditation or IFS certification requirements, depending on the requirements of the pathway you are completing.
Why Consultation or Supervision
Consultation and supervision provide a collaborative, reflective space in which you can strengthen your clinical skills, deepen your theoretical understanding and develop greater confidence in your work.
Sessions may focus on:
- Case formulation and treatment planning
- Trauma, complex trauma and dissociation
- EMDR and Internal Family Systems
- Complex or stuck clinical presentations
- Therapist responses and therapeutic relationships
- Professional development and reflective practice
- Accreditation, certification or registrar requirements
My approach is supportive, developmental and non-pathologising. The aim is not to identify one perfect intervention, but to understand the clinical process more clearly, recognise your existing strengths and identify meaningful areas for continued learning.
