Group Consultation for Mental Health Practitioners
Group consultation provides an opportunity to reflect on clinical work, strengthen case formulation, explore therapeutic challenges and learn alongside other practitioners in a supportive professional environment.
I offer several group consultation formats to meet the different learning and EMDR ACCREDITATION needs of therapists.
My principal current focus is IFS- INFORMED EMDR consultation, particularly for clinicians working with complex presentations. These groups explore how an understanding of parts can support EMDR case formulation, preparation, processing and work with blocks or protective responses.
Other group options include IFS consultation to support clinicians in IFS EXPANDING & CONSOLIDATING their skills or with IFS CERTIFICATION support, EMDR accreditation consultation, and general EMDR consultation based on request.
IFS - Informed EMDR Group Consultation
2-hour EMDR / Parts work Consultation Groups for Complex Presentations
(Max: 4 participants)
These small-group consultations are designed for EMDR-trained mental health practitioners who would like support working with complex clinical presentations.
The groups focus on EMDR case formulation and practice, informed by an understanding of parts and the Internal Family Systems model.
Consultation may include:
- Developing EMDR treatment plans for complex presentations
- Understanding protective responses that interrupt or block processing
- Integrating parts-informed preparation within the eight-phase EMDR protocol
- Responding to stuck processing and looping
- Working with dissociation, attachment difficulties and complex trauma
- Exploring therapist parts and therapeutic uncertainty
- Identifying existing clinical strengths and areas for further development
Participants do not need to have completed formal IFS training, although some familiarity with parts-informed work may be helpful.
Each online group is small and provides participants with an opportunity to present a case, ask a clinical question and learn from the work of other therapists.
